Ponderings & Pontifications of the Pastor

Hello everyone!

Hoping that many of you have come out to join us for the first MASS ON THE GRASS for the summer season!  Besides worshipping together in our common faith, especially as we enjoy the beauty of our parish grounds, we hope that all of you are staying safe this summer during the worst of the heat and humidity.  Many parts of the US are suffering from excessive heat and droughts, which can then lead to many wildfires and other issues.  Please be safe, check up on family members and friends, and take the necessary precautions if you must be outdoors.

Speaking about the outdoors and the weather, our ROOF CAMPAIGN is still underway!  Have you contributed anything yet to this ongoing and desperately needed fundraiser?  Even though food, gas, and other necessities are getting more expensive because of inflation, are you able to give a little more to support the reconstruction of these roofs?  So many of you have already contributed a great deal to this effort and I am very, very grateful for your generosity and kindness!

Even though we have already scheduled to begin this necessary work, we are still in need of additional funds.  Please consider helping us in any way…no donation is ever too small!  We want to make sure that this parish is taken care of, especially its many buildings, so that future generations of Catholics can come here and be nourished by Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Want to help add to the roof fund and have some fun in the process?  Come on out on Sunday, August 7th for PAINT WITH A PURPOSE!  This fun-filled afternoon will take place in the Parish Center (the big, blue building) at 1pm and costs $35.00.  The subject of this “Paint with a Purpose” afternoon will be a gnome decked out in Buffalo Bills gear!  Come help us raise money for the roof, have some laughs, and take home a great artistic piece that will add some Bills energy to the coming football season!
