We now enter into the Third Sunday of Advent which is called Gaudete Sunday because the opening prayer begins with the word Gaudete which means REJOICE. We indeed rejoice today, for the coming of the Lord is so near that we cannot help but think about it.
Are we starting to feel overwhelmed or even stressed out? Let’s take the time right now to breathe deeply, and to refocus our attention on the true reason we celebrate this time of year. We are called to look at our priorities and determine who and what is essential in our lives. For, all things are possible with the Lord.
Also, remember that this Monday, December 14th we will have the Parish Advent Penance Service at 7:00 pm. Four priests will be available to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance with us. Plan to ready your heart for His coming.
Finally, a very special THANK YOU to Jane & Ken Rozek, along with the countless volunteers, all those who donated gift baskets and all who contributed financially to make our very first Live Stream St. Nick Night a success.
REJOICE, the Lord is near.
