Buffalo 40 Days for Life 2020 Campaign Procedures
Your presence at an abortion facility is an important affirmation of LIFE, exercise of your
Constitutional right to free speech and witness against the tragedy of abortion. We are making changes to the vigil this year in keeping with our dedication to Effectiveness and safety.
There are adjustments to the vigil hours, the provision of sign in sheets “Statement of Peace,” and to other forms.
Due to the coronavirus we anticipate a possible gap in coverage.
Remembering the First priority is the health and safety of our volunteers we will only
Participate during daylight hours. Monday- Friday 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM. Saturday mornings hours from 8 AM to 10 AM will be filled by the Warriors of Love.
As always it is our goal to fill all the hours with at least two volunteers. In reality, there
may be hours that cannot be filled. There will be an exception made this year to our normal
rule of full coverage. Therefore, we will not provide the box of supplies.
In order to comply with the required signing the STATEMENT OF PEACE, volunteers
are required to log in to the National website (http://40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/buffalo/) and enter the vigil hours of participation. Daily Coordinators and team members will have procedures to follow in order to assist volunteers who do not have access to a computer.
This calendar sign up requirement will also provide information to identify the volunteers
at 2500 Main Street at any given time should that information be necessary. (Names are not
shown – the information shows that volunteers have signed up)
There will be signs provided at the KICKOFF event. Volunteers are asked to keep a sign
available to bring to the vigil. If a volunteer does not have a sign, keep in mind it is your
peaceful, prayerful presence that is all that is necessary to give witness to the value of each
and every life… born and unborn !
Resource material will be available at the kickoff. Volunteers are asked to take some
brochures and prayer cards and to have them available should the opportunity arise to pass
information out to clients or companions.
