Pastor’s Note 9/20/20

As of last Sunday, September 13thwe switched the
times of the Sunday outdoor Masses
. The Drive-in Mass is celebrated at 9:00 am, and the Lawn Mass at 11:00 am, both outside, weather permitting, through the end of September.

Currently, we have continuous  Eucharistic Adoration at our parish from 9:00 am on Wednesdays to 11:00 pm on Thursdays, To sign up for an overnight between Wednesdays and Thursdays, at  2 am – 3 am, please call, send a note to me or the parish office. Tuesdays are also open for sign-ups.
Please mark your calendars for the Annual Life Chain to be held on Sunday, October 4th, 2-3 pm at Niagara Falls Boulevard at Longmeadow Drive.  Our parish group will meet at 1:30 pm at Father Cotter Hall for prayer and to pick-up pro-life signs.  I believe legalized abortion has been a major moral and spiritual scourge and a curse on our society on many levels.  Abortion is against God’s plans for humanity and the teachings of Jesus and the Church.  Our ongoing passionate prayers for God’s will to be realized on earth will have a real effect in God’s timing.
The optional Respect Life collection is this Sunday, September 20th.  One can use any plain envelope to donate. Mark the check memo with “Respect Life”.  Thank you for supporting this cause.
You may find in the 2020 church envelopes package a “Christ the King Seminary” envelope dated September 27th. Though the Christ the King Seminary has closed, the
Diocese asks that the Seminary Collection envelope be used for ongoing Seminarian and Diaconate Formation support. Buffalo seminarians continue their priestly formation at other seminaries, including St. Mary’s in Baltimore.
