Pastor’s Note 11/24/2019

The St. Faustina: Love and Mercy movie tickets are still available at local theaters or online for one more showing on Monday, December 2nd at 7:00 pm; I strongly recommend seeing the movie to all Catholics.

Next Sunday, December 1st, the Church starts a new Liturgical Season – Advent.  In the four weeks of joyful anticipation for the celebration of Christmas, we will have additional opportunities to grow in our faith.

As in previous years, to help prevent the spread of flu and other infectious viruses, we will start to distribute Holy Communion at Masses under one species only.  The Church firmly believes and teaches that the Risen Christ is fully present in His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity under the form of the consecrated bread.

The Divine Mercy Cenacle groups fill up quickly.  Now is the time to register; there are additional details on page 4.

To underscore the close connection between the Mass and the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy prayers,
we will offer Masses immediately before the start of the sessions on Thursdays at 6:00 pm throughout the
Advent/Christmas season.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Fr. Matt
