Blessed Sacrament’s Legion of Mary group has
started doing the home census visits last week. They
will continue through October, visiting many homes
within the parish’s geographical boundaries. It is a pilot
phase, which will lead to a much broader effort next
spring. Please welcome them, if they happen to visit
you. For more information or to assist with the project,
contact President Darlene O’Keeffe.
We will have a group outing to see the release of the
newest movie about St. Faustina, “Love and Mercy” on
Monday, October 28th at 7:00 pm at Regal on Transit
Road. We will gather at Father Cotter Hall for an
optional prayer of the Chaplet at 6:15pm, followed by a
carpool at 6:30pm. Tickets are still available at the
parish office on a first-come basis.
On Saturday, October 5, we celebrated the wedding of
a young couple, Dominic Conlon and Aubrey Bailey.
We congratulate and pray for them and all other married
couples. They held the wedding reception at our Parish
Center hall, which was beautifully decorated by
the families and friends for the occasion. I was told
some people commented very positively about the beautified
space and some inquired about the possibility of
renting it for other events. The Fundraising Committee
will look into it.
The Parish’s 90th Anniversary Dinner tickets can
still be obtained after each weekend Mass in the chapel
entrance and at the parish office on weekdays.
