Scout Troop #286 held an Eagle Scout Ceremony for one of their members, Phillip Callari at Blessed Sacrament Church on September 7th, 2019. We congratulate Phillip and encourage parish families with children to consider joining scouting with Troop #286. Pictured from left are: Fr. Our parish is proud to host the Scout Troop #286. In the relatively short time they have been here, the Troop has been busy with many activities, including assisting a few young scouts to achieve the highest Scouting rank, that of an Eagle Scout. To get it, a scout must show his/her leadership skills by planning and executing a service project positively impacting a local community. As part of one such project, Scout Cory Pietrzyk planned a project to clean and upgrade the basement storage room in Father Cotter Hall last year. The project was completed last week by an installation of the new outside metal door provided by the Troop 286, as seen in the photo. Another Eagle Scout project was completed by Jeff Randall, who planned and oversaw the upgrades to the upstairs 3rd floor storage room in Father Cotter Hall.
