Pastor’s Note 3/17/2019

The Catholic Charities 2019 Appeal season has started. Parishioners should be receiving letters with an invitation to participate.  Thank you for all the past support and I encourage all to support this year’s campaign, which again is independent from the Upon This Rock commitments. I thank all who so generously continue to support our parish and the Diocese through Upon This Rock. More information about the Catholic Charities Appeal will be forthcoming.

We continue the Liturgical season of Lent,     preparing us for the celebration of Easter, mostly through enhanced participation in traditional practices of prayer, fasting, and charity.  A reminder of the prayer offerings this Lent: a day-long Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesdays, Stations of the Cross devotion will be prayed also on all Wednesdays of Lent at 5:30 pm at the church, followed by the 6:15 pm Mass and Rosary for Life.

Additional confessions will be offered this Lent after the 8:00 am Masses on weekdays in the chapel, at 6:45 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesdays, and 3:00-3:45 pm on Saturdays, plus anytime per request.  Parish Lenten Penance Service will be held on Sunday, April 7th, at  3-4 pm during the Hour of Mercy at church, with several confessors.

Have a Blessed Lent,

Fr. Matt
