Pastor’s Note 3/3/2019

Thank you to all who came to Msgr. Leo McCarthy’s celebration of his 60th priesthood ordination a week ago.  Special thank you to Judy and Jim Cagney and all the members of the Special Ad-Hoc Committee and the parish staff for all their hard work to make it a most memorable event.

Our parish is honored to be the official sponsor host of the Boys Scout Troop 286 for the past two years.  At the annual Charter Dinner meeting of the troop held last week in the Father Cotter Hall, the Boys Scouts of America renewed its Charter with our parish for another year.  A few scouts completed their Eagle Scout Projects by doing special maintenance projects in Father Cotter Hall, including fixing up large storage rooms.  More projects are being planned.  The Troop is open to welcoming new members and is inviting any parishioner families and children to consider joining their ranks.  Anyone interested in finding out more about scouting or joining the Troop 286, please call the  Scoutmaster Dan Dahlke at 716-868-6191.

Ash Wednesday and Lenten Liturgical Season starts this week. The bulletin insert lists all the major liturgies, events, and other Lenten and Holy Triduum offerings at our parish and the region.  Lenten fasting and abstinence guidelines are also listed in this bulletin.
