Pastor’s E-Note April 22, 2018

CATHOLIC CHARITIES Drive continues this season.  If you have already contributed to Catholic Charities this year, thank you.  If not yet, I encourage you to do so soon.  Please add “0507 Bl. Sacr. Tonawanda” on a check to assure our parish gets the credit.  This year Catholic Charities Drive is back to its regular schedule and it is NOT connected with the Upon This Rock drive.  Thank you for your generous support to help us reach the parish goal.  We are at about 60% now.

Over 150 families have already signed up for the PHOTO DIRECTORY.  There are still openings left for May.  Please consider being  part of this historical book.  More information is on page 5.

Please pray for our parish high school CONFIRMATION candidates, who are receiving the Sacrament this Sunday, April 22, at a special 4:00 pm Mass at St. John the Baptist Church in Kenmore.  All of our parishioners are welcome to attend that Mass.

Next Sunday, April 29, our parish will celebrate First Eucharist at the 9 am Mass. We thank the   teachers, parents, and all of those involved with the First Communicant’s preparation.

May is a beautiful time as we remember all of our mothers, including the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Our Lord.  May Crowning will be on May 6th at the 9 am Mass coordinated this year by our fairly new parish society, the Legion of Mary.  A Special MOTHER’S DAY MASS will be offered for our living and deceased mothers on Mother’s Day at 9 am.  Special Mother’s Day Remembrance memorial envelopes can be found at all entrances to the church and at the parish office.  All returned envelopes will be placed by the altar and all mothers listed will be included in special Masses and prayers.

Thanks to the coordinating efforts of our parish bookkeeper and web editor, Debi McInerney, we got a major website facelift.   The NEW PARISH WEBSITE can be accessed at the same old address:   http://bsacramentchurch.com.
